What is Bokeh? In photography, bokeh is the blur, or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image, or "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light. The term comes from the Japanese word boke, which means "blur" or "haze", or boke-aji , the "blur quality". The Japanese term boke is also used in the sense of a mental haze or senility. Blah blah blah...to be frankly, these all are from wiki, so for more information, please go there for more exact info.
I saw some of the pictures which the lights effect with different kinds of shape and patterns, but i have no idea how they do that. The way of the blurriness into different shapes! But guess what, I learned it from the website which I saw the way on how to make your own bokeh effect and now I have my own love shape bokeh filter.
This is my first time did this so still need to practice more. The shapes we need to cut it at the center and the shape should be as small as possible for a better effect. The first cut was failed because the shape wasn't at the center so the effect didn't come out. So I did the second one and tried. The effects was nice. Not as nice as the pro one because you need to catch the lights like lamps, bulbs, candles, LEDs, those kinds of small light point. And you have to keep a certain distance to catch the images. Hmm...for better effect, use 50mm f1.8, f1.4...Nah... Just play with it!
So many patterns to play with but its not easy to cut...
These are what I've got, love shape light effect.
But if you want to try, you should cut the shape smoothly
so it won't looks so rough like mine...
